Fraternally Yours — JOSEPH KECSKEMÉTHY: Jferes ow.. . WE SHOULD WORK FOR OUR 1967 GOALS Referring to 1967 as the 60th Anniversary Year of the granting of our Charter by the Congress of the United States of America, I would like to remind all members of our Field Force, the Supervisors, District, Section and Branch Managers alike, that we would like to commemorate this historical event this year by INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP AND THE INSURANCE IN FORCE in each of our branches throughout the country in the following required way: by a 10% INCREASE IN BRANCHES WITH A MEMBERSHIP UP TO 250 BY AN INCREASE OF 714% IN BRANCHES BETWEEN 251 and 500, AND BY A 5% INCREASE IN BRANCHES WITH MEMBERSHIP OF 501 OR MORE. IF YOU ARE A SUPERVISOR, check very thoroughly the extent to which these important regulations and requirements are being carried out in your territory. The percentage increases must be brought in this year! Hold your monthly or quarterly meetings with your full time District and Section men to check their progress. Work the outlaying branches yourself to reach the percentage increases as well as the general production quota. IF YOU ARE A DISTRICT OR SECTION MANAGER, analyze your branches, count your production cards, add up the amount of insurance sold and you shall know whether your branches are growing according to regulation. Living up to these requirements will help your Federation reach its goal. It will help you reach your quota, and when you do reach it, you can depend upon a full salary or expense check or look forward to more commission each month. IF YOU ARE A BRANCH MANAGER, ask yourself if you have tried hard and seriously enough to do what you have been asked to do each year . . . AND ARE BEING ASKED TO DO NOW, as an important member of our Field Force appointed to work for the progress of our organization! Are you cooperating with your District or Section men in lining up prospects and writing up new members for your branch? Or are you just collecting, which is not enough! . . . We must gain new members and new business each year! If you take your work seriously, then you should have the feeling of doing your job well for which you shall receive the commission checks you rightly deserve. ALL BRANCH MANAGERS HAVE A THREEFOLD RESPONSIBILITY, NAMELY: 1.) To collect the dues from your membership regularly and mail them to the Home Office punctually each month as collected. When the Federation gives the 1, 2 and 3% discounts for advance payments, both the member and the Federation should enjoy their benefits. Therefore, dues payments should be forwarded during the first month of the discounted period. 2). As Branch Manager, you should know about the deaths, the surrenders and maturities, about the paid up and the extended certificates in your branch. In order to counterbalance the decrease in your membership caused by these occurrences, you should immediately try to save or replace them, if not alone, then with the help of your Supervisor, District or Section Manager. As a Branch Manager, you are not only a collector of dues payments, but also a trained representative, who should serve your membership well in all its insurance needs. YOU ARE, THEREFORE, A CONSERVATION OFFICER AS WELL, WHO SHOULD SAVE ALL THE MEMBERS IN YOUR BRANCH AND WHO SHOULD TRY TO REPLACE ALL THE LOSSES THAT OCCUR DURING THE YEAR. 3.) Through the above services, YOU WILL LEARN TO BECOME NOT ONLY A COLLECTING AND CONSERVING, BUT A PRODUCING REPRESENTATIVE, who will want to increase the membership and insurance in force in your branch by the required 10, tVi, and 5 per cents respectively, thereby receiving larger commission checks as a result. TURN TO YOUR RESPECTIVE SUPERVISOR, DISTRICT OR SECTION MANAGER TO HELP YOU in these functions and responsibilities. HELP HIM reach his yearly quota also, and to make a good living! HELP YOURSELF by getting larger commission checks than ever before. HELP YOUR FEDERATION grow in membership ... in insurance in force and in assets . . . for the benefit of all the members. IF YOU ARE A MEMBER, in the true spirit of fraternalism, you should recommend at least one other person to become a member through one of our insurance plans. This new member could come from your immediate family, from the group of your relatives, friends, or neighbors. Our Supervisors, District and Section Managers will help you to sell the best insurance needed or requested by the persons you recommend. If each member will help to get at least one new member in 1967, our Charter Year can be and will be a memorable year in which we shall reach the goals set before us! Members and friends of our branch 138 in St. Paul, Minn, attending Hungarian church service by our Secretary, Rev. Joseph Kecskeméthy. Field Workers Conference, held in Trenton, N. J. — 1966. 12
