2 FRATERNITY is also a sad fact that many of our second and third generation Hungarians have denied themselves the privilege of membership in an organization which takes pride in the Hungarian heritage established by their parents. — Unfortunately, these younger American Hungarians have taken their insurance needs elsewhere, although we are able to serve them just as well, or perhaps even better. We, of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, invite you and your families, in our 70th anniversary year, to become members, regardless of your church affiliation, and to be a part of our great organization, which has not only survived this long span of time, but has pressed onward to become the largest Hungarian Reformed Fraternal Benefit Society in the world. In the true spirit of Christian fellowship and fraterualism, our Detroit workers are planning a banquet to celebrate our lOth anniversary on Saturday, April 16th, 1966, at 6 P. M., in the Hungarian Reformed Church at Allen Park, Michigan. We cordially invite you to join us. GAZEL VESPREM1, Detroit, Michigan Vice President ON THE THRESHOLD I stand upon the threshold of two years, And backward look, and forward strain my eyes; Upon the blotted record fall my tears, While brushing aside, a sweet surprise Breaks like a day-dawn on my upturned face, As I remember Thy daily grace. Thou hast been good to me: the burdened past Thou hast borne with me, and the future days Are in Thy hands; I tremble not, but cast My care upon Thee, and in prayer and praise Prepare to make the coming year the best, Because of nobler work and sweeter rest.
