DECLARATION

OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

of

THE HUNGARIAN REFORMED FEDERATION OF AMERICA

Adopted on Thursday, January 6, 1966 in Washington, D. C.

We, the officers of our Fraternal Benefit Society, without hesitation or fear, but with the love of God and of the faith of our fathers, declare 1966, the 70th Anniversary Year of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, to be “THE YEAR OF THE BIBLE.” We further substantiate this declaration by resolving that we promise to give a “Gift Bible” to all applicants who become members of our Federation’s large family in its 70th Anniversary Year, which will be observed throughout the United States and Canada. The “Gift Bible”, either in the Protestant or Catholic version, as it will he indicated on the membership application form, will be attached to all new Membership Certificates and will be mailed or delivered to all members, according to their faith.

We fervently hope that with the Bible in our midst, in our homes, in our hands and its teachings in our hearts, we shall have a peaceful and blessed Anniversary Year dedicated to the better service of our members and to the greater glory of God! We know we shall have a blessed year, because, as in the past 70 years, our motto remains the same for the future also . . . “IF GOD BE WITH US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US!”
