In compliance with the resolution of the 1964 Convention, we made the Fund solvent by transferring $10,000.00 from our books and $39,788.99 from the Unassigned Fund. With these transfers the Retirement Benefit Fund amounted to $162,843.00 as of December 31, 1965. b) Together with the Treasurer, I prepared a monthly statement of Income, Disbursements and Assets for publication in the “Fraternity”. — Occasionally, I wrote articles for our official paper. c) As one of the guardians of the deposit boxes, I accompanied the Treasurer 27 times to the bank during the year. d) As the recording secretary of the Supreme Council, I wish to make certain recommendations to change recording and witnessing procedures. e) As the Controller of the Bethlen Home, I attended five Board of Managers’ and one Board of Directors’ meetings to discuss affairs and examine books of the Home. Frequent changes in the personned have made it extremely difficult to cope with the ever-growing task in my department. Dr. Antal Postenyi left for Germany; he was replaced by Julius Gaal, who takes care of the head bookkeeper’s duties with diligence and expert knowledge. Besides the afore-mentioned gentlemen, Mrs. Janos Csorba, Mrs. George Zaboji, Miss Elizabeth Nagy, and since December 1, 1965, Mrs. Paul Paschke have rendered intelligent and faithful service to the Federation, for which I express my full appreciation. I express my sincere thanks to my fellow officers, members of the Supreme Council and loyal workers in the field and in the home office. LÁSZLÓ L. ESZENYI, Controller
