Election — Installation — Vacancies in the Supreme Council 31. The regular Members of the Supreme Council are elected and their honorarium deter­mined by the Convention. The Supreme Officers are elected by acclamation, or in case of a vote, by an absolute majority; the three Vice Presi­dents, and the regular Members and alternates of the Supreme Council by plurality. The regular Members of the Supreme Council take the oath oi office at the Convention immediately after their election, and are installed into office at the spring meeting of the Supreme Council, which shall be held not later than April 1 of the year following the Convention. 32. Upon the death or the resignation of any of the Supreme Officers of the Federation, the vacancy shall be filled by the Supreme Council, in keeping with the pertinent provisions of para­graph 40 of these by-laws. In the event of ill­ness or any other incapacity, the Supreme Officers shall substitute for each other, provided such ill­ness or incapacity shall not extend beyond a period of ninety (90) days. Should such illness or incapacity extend beyond a period of ninety (90) days, then the Supreme Council shall take necessary action. 33. Alternate members: The Convention shall elect an alternate for each member of the Stand­15 — ing Committees of the Supreme Council who shall fill any vacancy created by death or resignation. Alternates shall receive no remuneration, except for services rendered. Standing Committees of the Supreme Council 34. The Standing Committees of the Supreme Council are: a) Administrative and Disciplinary Com­mittee. Its members are: one of the Vice Presidents and one-third of the membership of the Supreme Council. b) The Finance Committee. Its members are: one of the Vice Presidents and one-third of the membership of the Supreme Council. c) Auditing Committee. Its members are: one of the Vice Presidents and one-third of the membership of the Supreme Council. 35. The duty of the Administrative and Dis­ciplinary Committee is to examine the offices of the President and the Secretary. The duty of the Finance Committee is to examine the office of the Treasurer, the man­agement of all finances and investments of the Federation; also the management and finances of the Bethlen Home. — 16 — FRATERNITY
