FRATERNITY 15 c) That the Supreme Council be authorized, in order to make the Employees’ Retirement Fund solvent, to transfer the necessary amount from the Unassigned Fund to this Fund whenever it be­comes necessary, beginning in 1965. THE CONVENTION UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED THE REC­OMMENDATION. d) That the one cent per member annual contribution to the American Hungarian Federation be changed to a yearly amount not to exceed $2400. THE CONVENTION UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE REC­OMMENDATION. e) That if circumstances call for it and the Federation’s financial situation warrants it, the Supreme Council be authorized to work out a system of dividends. AFTER THOROUGH DISCUSSION AND CLARIFICATION BY MR. BLUM, ACCOUNTANT, ACCORDING TO WHOM THE IN­TRODUCTION OF DIVIDENDS COULD NOT BE FORESEEN BEFORE 1966, THE CONVENTION UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE RECOMMENDATION. f) That the District and Section Managers not invited to the Convention, also the Home Office workers be given a donation according to their time of service — $100 up to three years of service, $200 over that period. THE CONVENTION UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED THE REC­OMMENDATION. g) That the Accountants and the Finance Committee of the Supreme Council be thanked for their efficient services and be relieved from further responsibility for the past quadrennium. THE CONVENTION APPROVED THIS RECOMMENDATION. 74. Upon motion, the Finance Committee was praised for its fine work and the Recording Secretaries were instructed to make mention of that fact in the minutes. THIS MOTION WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED BY THE CONVENTION. 75. Mr. Stephen Vargo was granted the privilege of the floor and expressed with joy and gratitude his satisfaction over the peaceful and harmonious atmosphere of the Convention. THE CONVENTION REWARDED MR. VARGO’S REMARKS WITH APPLAUSE. 76. The Secretary announced that the Federation’s faithful field workers will receive gold, resp. silver and bronze medals in apprecia­tion of their achievements. Those who are not members of the Con­vention will receive it at their district meeting. 77. The Controller presented the recommendation of the officers that the President’s salary be raised so as to be higher than that of the other officers; and that this amount be $500. (Originated from
