FRATERNITY 13 b) The Convention express and convey, through the Super­intendent, its heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to the fol­lowing donors to the Bethlen Home Building Fund — donations made 1960-1964: 1. Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Scaife, Mellon Square, Pitts­burgh, Pa., for their generous gift of $26,682.75. 2. Richard King Mellon Foundation, Pittsburgh, Pa., for its generous gift of $25,000. 3. Mrs. Cordelia Scaife May, Baywood Road, Ligonier, Pa., for her generous gift of $15,697.50. 4. Laurel Foundation, Pittsburgh, Pa., for its generous gift of $10,000. c) The Convention approve the dissolution of the Bethlen Home Farm through the action of the Board of Directors and the Supreme Council. d) The Convention express its thanks to Mrs. Alexander Daróczy and Mrs. Kálmán Csia for their faithful and loyal services by approving a gift of $500 to each. e) The names of the donors to the Building Fund be per­petuated in a proper manner by the Board of Directors of the Bethlen Home. f) The Home’s cultural activities be continued. g) Improvement on the archives and library be made and the establishment of a printing shop — as a separate corporation — be set up. h) The Convention accept the financial statement of the Super­intendent for the quadrennium. i) The Children’s Department of the Bethlen Home be con­tinued in the interest of our Hungarian Reformed Church and Federation life as well. j) To promote and stimulate more interest, and create better understanding between our Federation and our youth, a youth camp be established on the property of the Bethlen Home in the nearest future. k) The Superintendent’s report be accepted with the following financial figures to be recorded: Income on the Building Fund of the new Old People’s Home to date is $531,058.26. Disbursements for building costs and furnishings are $513,634.62. To cover this the Federation’s first mortgage is $340,000. l) Rev. Alexander Daróczy be given release from his official duties of the quadrennium as treasurer of the Bethlen Home.
