A Swiss businessman was fined 2,000 marks and jailed for three months for bringing 600 pounds of coffee to the German black market. It was smuggled from Switzerland inside his artificial leg. YEN FOR SLEEP A Tokyo manufacturer has marketed a sleep-inducing machine. It is based on the assumption that the soothing patter of falling raindrops will lull one to sleep and cure insomnia. The gadget, which produces two variations of raindrop sounds, is called “Sleeping Tone” and sells for 3,400 yen (about $9.44). “It will put you to sleep in ten minutes”, says the manufacturer.
