Volume XL JULY 1962 Number 7 JOSEPH KECSKEMETHY: “FRATERNITY SUNDAYS” For the promotion of good will and fraternal feeling among our members, and as a substitution for the old-time meetings of our branches, our national officers, field force and branch managers have been busy in recent weeks sponsoring “Fraternity Sundays” throughout the country. On these occasions our National Secretary held field force conferences and workshops to stimulate sales production and conservation in the various districts. All district conferences were followed by membership drives in which district and section managers exchanged ideas in salesmnaship and promotional work. In addition to its fraternal and organizational purposes, the “Fraternity Sundays” had a charitable aim as well: to increase the building fund of our Bethlen Home in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, from the proceeds of the special programs and fraternal dinners following each conference. To date, “Fraternity Sundays” have been held in the following cities: Cleveland, Ohio, on June 3, 1962. This occasion opened with a field force meeting which was followed by an excellently arranged musical program in Bethlen Hall, directed by Mrs. Stephen Csutoros. Appearing on the program were: Rt. Rev. George E. K. Borshy, Dr. Joseph Piri, Rev. Alexander Daroczy and Dr. Stephen Szabó, who addressed the assembly and extended greetings, while on the musical portion of the program, vocal duets were offered by Mrs. M. Tilk and Robert Mezei, vocal solos by Roberta Kalassay and Joseph Salva, accompanied by Mrs. Violet Smith, vocal duets and trios by Mrs. Stephen Csutoros, Stephen Csutoros, Jr., and Robert Kern, and cimbalom and piano duets by the Rev. and Mrs. Kecskemethy. Master of ceremonies was Mr. Andrew Dono. After the well attended and well received musicale, a fellowship dinner followed in the headquarters building of Branch No. 4. For the success of the entire day we owe thanks to the members of our local field force: Mr. Joseph Benedek, Supervisor; Mr. Elmer Vargo, District Manager; Mr. Joseph Arnosky and Mr. Joseph Dula, Section Managers; to the members of the local clergy, branch managers, and to all of the members who attended.
