Fraternity-Testvériség, 1962 (40. évfolyam, 1-12. szám)

1962-05-01 / 5. szám

FRATERNITY 15 III. OTHER SERVICES I audited the salaries of employees and calculated the Federal and State payroll taxes. Such taxes, together with the properly completed report forms, were always forwarded to the respective agencies in due time. Every month I prepared a Statement of Income, Disbursements and Assets for publication in the official paper. The “Fraternity” serially publishes my work, entitled, “A Szabadságért és az Unióért”, which happens to be the first complete study on the War between the States in the Hungarian language. Together with my fellow officers, I prepared the budget for the year of 1962, for further deliberations. As one of the guardians of our safety deposit boxes, I was always available whenever our Treasurer wanted to open the boxes in accordance with the procedure of handling our securities. According to the new By-Laws of the Bethlen Home, I also perform the duties of a controller in our charitable institution. The convention of the American Hungarian Federation, held March 2, 1962, re-elected me as Treasurer of that organization for the ensuing three years. I am happy to report that the employees in my department rendered faultless and faithful service during the past year, for which I whole-heartedly recommend them for moral as well as financial appreciation. Finally, I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to my fellow officers, members of the Supreme Council, and to our field workers, for the splendid cooperation which I was fortunate to enjoy. Respectfully submitted, LÁSZLÓ L. ESZENYI, Controller “VERY SELDOM . . ” American Hungarian Reformed Federation Washington, D. C. Gentlemen: May I thank you and your representative, Mr. Charles Kovács, for your wonderful work and fast service. Very seldom do we see in our modern times people willing to help and do things for anyone, like Mr. Charles Kovács has done for me and mine. May God bless each and every member of your executive board and all your members and workers. New Brunswick, N. J. Most sincerely, Verőn Riczko
