The President reconvened the afternoon session at 2:41 P. M. 60. Dr. Andrew Harsányi presented the text of the declaration to be issued to the Magyar people, as composed by the appointed com­mittee. (Exhibit “M”.) The Convention unanimously accepted the pre­sented declaration and requested the Supreme Council to publish it in the proper manner and place. 61. Rev. Louis Nagy presented the text of the declaration to be issued to the Hungarian Americans, as composed by the appointed com- mitteee. (Exhibit “N”.) The Convention unanimously accepted the pre­sented declaration and requested the Supreme Council to publish it in the proper manner and place. 62. Rev. Gábor Csordás continued in presenting the proposed amended By-Laws of the Federation. (Exhibit “L”.) i) Par. 92, page 18, concerning the Certificates of Insurance and Accidental Death Certificate Riders, was accepted unanimously by the Convention. j) Par. 115, page 21, concerning Causes When Sick Benefit Is Not Payable, was accepted unanimously by the Convention. 63. The Convention, after hearing and voting on the major amend­ments of the By-Laws, accepted the same as a whole. 64. Rev. Gábor Csordás also presented the proposals coming from the various branches submitted to the Administrative Committee, and with the recommendation of the same committee (Exhibit “O”), out of the nine proposals No. 7, concerning the fee of local branch collectors, was adopted as recommended by the Administrative Committee. No. 8, concerning the number of members of the Supreme Council, according to which New York District 1, New Jersey 2, Pennsylvania 2, Ohio 2, Chicago 1, Detroit, Toledo, California and branches-at­large 1, a total of 9 members, which, with the 3 vice presidents, totals 12, was adopted by the Convention.
