8 FRATERNITY it was resolved by a majority vote of 60 that the mandate of the delegate from Branch No. 369, Dr. Márió Szilárd, cannot be accepted; it was further resolved that Dr. Márió Szilárd be reimbursed for his expenses in connection with travel to the Convention; it was also resolved that the alternate delegate from Branch No. 369 be called in by telegram whose mandate was found to be in proper order. 26. Dr. Zoltán Béky, Second Vice President, presented the texts of telegrams to be sent to the following persons (Exhibit “D”): Dwight D. Eisenhower, President of the United States of America; Christian Herter, Secretary of State; Senator Frank J. Lausche; Governor David L. Law­rence; Congressman William E. Miller; Governor Robert B. Meyner, Hon. F. R. Smith, Insurance Commissioner of Pennsylvania; Congressman Alvin Bentley; Mrs. William Borah; Hon. Albert F. Jordan, Commissioner of Insurance, Washington, D. C.; Congressman Charles A. Vanik; Congress­man Michael L. Feighan. The Convention unanimously accepted the pre­sented texts of the telegrams and instructed the office of the secretary to dispatch the same. 27. Dr. Frank S. Horvath, Medical Director, presented his report on his official activities during the past four years. (Exhibit “E”.) The Convention unanimously accepted the report. 28. Mr. Albert A. Fiok, Legal Counsellor, presented his report on the legal problems of the past four years. (Exhibit “F”.) The Convention unanimously accepted the report. 29. The President recessed the meeting for 15 minutes which re­convened at 11:40 A. M. 30. Mr. Jack H. Zeitlin, Accountant, reported on the financial status of the Federation based upon the data of the past four years. (Exhibit “G”.) The Convention unanimously accepted the report as a whole and referred it to the respective com­mittee for discussion. 31. Rev. Alexander Daróczy, Superintendent of the Bethlen Home, presented his report on the activities of the Bethlen Home during the past four years. (Exhibit “H”.) The Convention unanimously accepted the report as a whole and referred it to the respective com­mittee for discussion. 32. Mr. Gazel Veszpremy, First Vice President and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme Council, presented his report on the administrative activities of the Supreme Council during the past four years. (Exhibit “I”.)
