10 FRATERNITY whole of Gaspar Karolyi’s translation of the Bible was available to the public. After the first edition of 600 copies, it came out in repeated editions till some 20,000 had been sold. A new translation was also made by George Csipkés Komaromi (f 1678). Then the Heidelberg Catechism saw at least a dozen editions in Hungarian, while other catechisms, too, were printed and circulated, as well as a large variety of prayer books, some original and some translated from foreign sources. Again, many books of sermons were issued from the press, and text books for their students were written by the theological professors and printed for use in the seminaries of the Church.
