10 FRATERNITY Zigmund Palagyi (Elyria, 0.) and William Szuch (Sharon, Pa.) represented our second generation membership around the conference table. The intelligence and alertness these members showed during the discussions gave us good reason to believe that they will be worthy of the trust the Convention placed in them. Dr. Stephen Szabó (Cleveland, Ohio), Rev. Bertalan Szathmary (Long Branch, N. J.) and Rev. Louis Nagy (McKeesport, Pa.) are the other three new members of the Council. These gentlemen have played such distinguished roles in the life of the Church as well as the Federation that they need no particular introduction. The newest member of the Council is Rev. Arpad George (Chicago, 111.), Mr. Vespremi’s alternate who was called to fill the post vacated by the First Vice President. The notably fine personality, expert knowledge and ambition, coupled with hard work, in the case of each field manager, guarantee that they will not fall short of the expectations of the Supreme Council. Designated as the “New Administration Drive”, an underwriting contest was authorized to begin on April 15th for a duration of five months with the unconcealed intention of surpassing the record production of the 60th Anniversary Year. The fact that our present production is very close to the two- million-dollar mark seems to justify our confidence in this contest.. Our faithful home office employees were not neglected during these Council sessions. A new pay scale, based on the merits of the individual employees, was introduced. New arrangements were made relative to paid vacations and sick leave benefits. Since there is neither time nor space available to go into the numerous other important resolutions passed during the
