10 FRATERNITY The Convention listened with undivided attention to this expert report and expressed its gratitude through the words of the President, combined with the promise that it will eagerly continue the support of this important government organ. In connection with this the members of the Convention thankfully accepted the invitation of Superintendent Joseph Kecskemethy to the children's program starting at eight tonight. 20. Still before the order of the day, Dr. Joseph Zsiros asked to be excused from the sessions of the Convention after Thursday in order that on Thursday he could be present at the court procedure of his naturalization. The Convention willingly excused the delegate. 21. Secretary George E. Kerekes Borshy in the name of the Supreme Council motioned that the Convention send telegrams of greetings to the President of the United States, to the Governor of the State of Pennsylvania and to the Insurance Commissioner of the District of Columbia. Furthermore, our Federation, on its sixtieth anniversary, should issue two solemn declarations — one to the Reformed Hungarians both in America and Hungary, and another one to the leaders of the World Council of Churches and of the Reformed World Alliance on the present day situation of the Reformed Church of Hungary; and that the Convention appoint Charles Papp and Alexander Daroczy, Vice Presidents, to prepare the text of the greetings. The Convention unanimuosly accepted the motion. 22. Secretary George E. Kerekes Borshy in the name of the Supreme Council recommended that on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of our Federation, the Convention send greetings to the three still living charter members, namely, Mrs. Michael Danch of Branch No. 47, Traves- kyn, Pa.; Paul Matyók of Branch No. 21, Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. Andrew Bodnar of Branch No. 1, Bridgeport, Conn., and as a token of our grateful remembrance we should also send to each of them a bouquet of flowers and a check for $60.00. The Convention unanimously accepted the recommendation. 23. Upon the request of the President, Joseph Kecskemethy, Superintendent, read his report on the activities of the Behtlen Home during the past four years. The Convention unanimously accepted the report for further deliberation. 24. Upon the request of the President, Aladar A. Fiok, Counselor-at- Law, presented his report on the legal problems of the past four years and on the present situation of the Federation.
