DECEMBER, 1949 fot its «n tíf IdlfMjem! The story of the birth of Jesus as narrated in the gospel of Luke is surely the most beautiful story that ever was told. It describes the most momentous event in human history. The babe who lay helpless in the manger in Bethlehem, grew to boyhood, and to manhood. He lived as a man and yet through him, God was revealed. That revelation does not need to be repeated. It is not necessary that Christ should be born again at Bethlehem, that he should walk the roads of Palastine or die upon the cross. The Presence that manifested itself in Jesus Christ is not withdrawn. In a very real sense he is still being born and every day is Christmas Day, if we accept God’s great gift to men, the gift of His dear son.
