TÁROGATÓ A Canadian Magyar Monthly for the enlightenment and entertainment of Hungarians, edited by Dr. A. Czakó, published by The United Church oj Canada. Seventh year, No. 5. November, 1944. Old age docs not mean retirement from activity, or, at least, should not mean that, if we wish to live for the benefit of ourselvees and our fellowmen. This is the meaning of our first article dealing with Creative Old Age, in which there are plenty of examples to prove that in old age we may be able to do the very best of our life. — The story of Witches comes from the dark pages of human history; our second article tries to make clear some of the reasons which produced the belief in them. — Poe is not only one of America’s greatest poets, some of his poetry and all of his mystery stories are read everywhere. Hence an article on Poe The Man should prove of general interest. — Mrs. Margaret G. Dudás has contributed another letter from Hollywood, this time on Hollywood Beauties. It is of moral significance. — Our regular contributor, Alexander Finta of Los Angeles, has written two poems for this issue. — A short history of the five years of this second world war concludes this issue. * * * We the members of the Free Hungarian Council of Canada and members of the Democratic Federation of Canada regard it as our foremost duty to do all we can to bring this war to a glorious end for the Allies. ★ ★ ★ GOD SAVE THE KING.
