TÁROGATÓ A Canadian Magyar Monthly for the enlightenment and entertainment of Hungarians, edited by Dr. A. Czakó, published by The United Church of Canada. Seventh year, No. 4. October, 1944. Since the subscribers to this paper are democratic Hungarians of Canada and the U.S.A. we have found it necessary to deal with the anxiety all of us must feel about the future of Hungary. Our first article tries to show why there is a hope for a happier Hungary even if the present is black. The title of this Editorial is: Hungary, Anxieties and Hopes. — In our second article, On Rare Books, there is a description of some valuable and extremely rare books, also notes on early book-printing. — Our shorter notes tell what we know about the planet Mars; give some information on Pearls and Pearl-Fishing; there is also a character sketch of that often-quoted patriot of old days, Machiavelli. A poem by Alexander Finta and the editor’s Notes to the Tragedy cf Man conclude this issue. ★ ★ ★ COD SA VE THE KING. i.
