TÁROGATÓ A Canadian Magyar Monthly for the enlightenment and entertainment of Hungarians, edited by Dr. A. Czakó, published by The United Church oj Canada. Sixth year, No. 9. March, 1944. CONTENTS. How judge the great movements of cur day? Which of the ideas will survive, ideas that fight against one another to-day, ideas for which men sacrifice even their lives? We try to give an answer in our first article: THE TOMB OF JESUS IS BEING GUARDED. — The violin is a very popular instrument among Hungarians, a fact which is proved by the very many prominent violinists of the past and present and by leading String Quartets (Budapest, Lehner etc.) That is one reason why we deal with the great masters of violinmaking and with two world-famous violinists: Paganini and the Hungarian born Joseph Joachim. — We bring a further instalment of Mrs. Jameson’s book (Winter Studies etc.); a short note on Mr. Titus Kiss of Winnipeg, and two poems by Alexander Finta. The paper closes with the Editor’s Notes to The Tragedy of Man. ★ ★ ★ GOD SAFE THE KING. The editor’s book: Don Quixote, A Commentary, dealing with the theory of the world and life, has been published. Price $1.50 for bound copies, $1.00 for paper bound ones. Order from Dr. A. Czakó 423 Queen St. W., Toronto, Ont., Canada.
