A népi bútorfestés módszere

A felület előkészítése - csiszolás

A festéshez elsőként a felületet kell előkészíteni, ami elengedhetetlenül szükséges a szép és minőségi munka érdekében. Az első felületkezelés a csiszolás.

Ezt csiszolópapírral végezhetjük el, hogy az érdes felületet el tudjuk távolítani. Száradás után még egyszer lecsiszoljuk és újra lealapozzuk. Az enyves víz felhúzza a fa szálát, így simább lesz a fa felülete és a csiszolástól betömődnek a fa pólusai. Ezután a fát két-három napig száradni hagyjuk. Fontos, hogy a fa a beszívott vizet elpárologtassa. Ha vizes fára viszünk fel újabb festékréteget, a fa annyira összehúzódhat a festék alatt, hogy a későbbi száradáskor levetheti a festéket.

Priprava površine za barvanje - brušenje

Pred barvanjem je naprej treba pripraviti površino, saj brez tega ni mogoče lepo in kakovostno opraviti dela. Najprej površino zbrusimo.

To lahko naredimo z brusnim papirjem, tako da bo površina gladka. Po sušenju les še enkrat brusimo in nanesemo osnovni premaz. Voda pomešana s klejem dvigne lesna vlakna, tako dobimo gladko površino, z brušenjem pa zapolnimo lesne pore. Nato se les naj suši vsaj dva-tri dni. Pomembno je da izpari vsa vlaga iz lesa. Če bi barvo nanesli na vlažen les, bi barva pri sušenju popokala oziroma odstopila.

Surface preparation - refining

For painting we must first prepare the surface, which is essential to achieve beautiful, high quality work. The first step of this process is refining.

This can be done using sandpaper removing any rough surfaces. After drying the surface is refined again and another layer of base coat is put on. The glue-water pulls up the splinters of the wood, which makes the surface more even and the sandpaper refining fills in the pores of the wood. At this point, the wood is left to dry for two or three days. It is important that we give the wood time to evaporate the absorbed water. If the next layer of paint is put on the wood while it is wet, the wood may shrink so much under the paint that later it may throw the paint off while drying.
