Rainbow 48 / 1996/1 LITERARY, ARTISTIC AND CRITICAL REVIEW PUBLISHED EVERY FOUR MONTH Summary We publish in this issue poems of Elemér Horváth, György Vitéz, Áron Kibédi Varga, Ferenc Mózsi, Ákos Fodor, Lajos Pintér, János Géczi, Tamás Tomkiss, Imre Görög, Károly Nyírfalvi, Gyöngyi Csák, Norbert Haklik, László Marafkó, Hajnal Mohi. We also publish writings by Győző Határ, Ágnes Makkai-Arany, Edit B. Tóth, György Kerékgyártó, Erika Simon and Zoltán Ónagy. László Morvay pays tribute to the late prosewriter András Simonffy and György Gömöri writes about the memory of the forgotten writer, Tamás Tasnády. Klára Györgyey is focusing on the German playwright-director Heiner Müller. We publish poems by Dieter Schullerus, Rolf Bossert, William Totok, Ilse Hehn, Frieder Schuller, Anemone Latzina, Richard Wagner, Helmut Frauendorfer, Johann Lippet and Ingmar Bratsch - translated by Attila Szlafkay. László Papp is focusing on the life of the American Hungarians, followed by a graph­ical essay of András Bohár on Domokos Szilágyi’s poem: Bartók in America. Art Lover: Art in Nature. Essays by Zsolt István Kovács and Ilona Tarapcsák on Lajos Pintér and Győző Határ. In the critics’s section we publish book reviews by Endre Szkárosi and Tamás Tomkiss. This issue is illustrated by Gyula Marosán and László Morvay. We entered our 17th year of publication. 160
