Published every four months Summary This special issue is to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. For this solemn occasion we are publishing poems of György Faludy, Győző Határ, Ferenc Mózsi, Magda Füzesi (USSR), Elemér Horvath, György Petri, Tamás Kabdebó, Gáspár Nagy, Lóránt Zas, Agnes Mária Csiky, Julianus F., Tibor Tollas, Leona Sz. Kanyó, József Tornai (Budapest), Lajos Kassák, Attila Gérecz and Sándor Petőfi. Nándor Ludvig’s essay is focusing on the future. Sándor Csoóri's tribute to Ferenc Dónál h is followed by Annamária Kocsis' (Pécs): Portrait of Pál Maiéter (1st part). György Ferdinande’s writing is followed by István G. Fekete's short story. Historian Béla Király compares the similarity of the Revolution of 1848 and 1956. László Varga (New York) writes about our Revolution and the UN. József Kővágó's study is followed by Károly Nagy’s essay on István Bibó's Collected Works. We include few pages of the Radio Programs of Budapest— October 23- November 4, 1956. Forthe Freedom of Speech, we publish an open letterto The International P.E.N. Club from the Writers in Exile, American Branch. We publish Dénes Csengey’s (Keszthely) article on the Csurka-case. Also included A Call for Reconciliation to the Caring People of H ungary & Romania — a letter for reasons of conscience. Memento — Chernobyl 1986 — music notes of the composer Zoltán Kocsis ( Budapest) is followed by Szilárd Reményi ’.s ( Hungary): Chernobyl — Scandal and Lesson. In the critics 'section Sándor Radnóti is focusing on the work of Miklós Mészöly. We publish book reviews by György Ferdinande, Éva Huseby- Darvas (USA ), György Gömöri, Klára Domány (Chicago)and Klára Györgyéé. Olivér Botár (Toronto) writes about László Moholy-Nagy's Photo- Exhibition. Our comment ora ting issue is illustrated by the art ist Pál Török ( Lugano ).
