Rainbow is a publication of The Hungarian Cultural and Educational House, Inc. (Magyar Ház, Chicago).

Summary

We open this issue with the poem of Sándor Csoóri, followed by the Message of Miklós Duray.

We are publishing poems of Tamás Hajós, Sándor Aszódi, Róbert Zend (all from Toronto), Erika Dedinszky (Netherland), Lóránt Zas, Joli Gadányi (New Orleans), Zalán Tibor and Gyula Obersovszky of Budapest.

A series of translation by György Faludy is included, and also translation from The Epic of Gilgamish by Géza Komoróczy (Budapest).

A poem of the Nobel Prize Winer Czeslaw Milosz is translated by György Gömöri.

Elemér Horváth’s lyric biography is followed by Gyula Fekete's (Budapest) polemic writing. We also include two short stories, one by Dalma Hunyadi Brunauer (Potsdam, NY), and the other by András Szádovszky (Budapest). Albert Vajda humorously copies the style of others. We continue with the writing of István Som (Pécs) and József Takách’ (Bloomington, IN) film-story. Ferenc Mózsi writes about the poetry of Mihály Babits, followed by the Credo of the poéta doctus.

György J. Szabó (Youngstown, OH) introduces himself with an Irregular Autobiography. His graphics illustrate this issue. Péter Kaslik's (Toronto) study on Hungarology is followed by the special interview of Sándor Szilágyi with Sándor Rácz, former leader of the Revolutionery Worker’s Council in 1956. In the critics’ section we are focusing on the work of Miklós Duray, literary and political aspects as well. We publish book-reviews by György Ferdinandy, Gábor László Hajnal, Délszigeti, Sándor Újvárv (Munich), Klára Györgyey, János Bárány (Marshall, MN), János Fercsey (New York), Dezső Landy (Sao Paulo) and Tamás Kabdebó.
