A betegkiválasztás szempontjai multifokális műlencse-beültetés esetén

Ezeket a nemkívánatos fényjelenségeket (dysphotopsiák) az egyes emberek különböző mértékben élik meg, és azokra különböző módon is reagálnak. A klinikai eredmények és a betegek műtét utáni elégedettsége nem mindig függ össze; egy újabb

tanulmány például összefüggést talált a betegek pszichés paraméterei és elégedettsége között (14).

Nagy általánosságban elmondható, hogy megfelelő betegkiválasztás, pontos biometria és gondosan kivitelezett műtét esetén a modern multifokális műlencsékkel az első szem operációját követően 60-65%ban, mindkét szem műtété után 90- 95%-ban biztosítható a „szemüvegfüggetlenség”. Egy 2011-ben végzett, több fajta multifokális lencsét összehasonlító tanulmány szerint a betegek több mint 90%-a elégedett volt az eredménnyel, sőt idővel ez az arány még tovább javult, amit idegi adaptációval magyaráztak (14).
