TÚLLÉPNI AZ ARANYCSAPATON blockade in the various international sports associations, and regained its leading role. The paper accordingly presents the way in which from 1958 on the Hungarian competitive sport was successfully integrated into a more complex process whose aim was return to the international cultural scene. The process culminated in the Olympic Games of Rome in 1960, where the local press already celebrated the Hungarian athletes. 732
