A „NEMZET ARANYA” 362 of the Trust, the gold bars preserved in the safe of the Schweizerische Kreditanstalt could only be returned to the ownership of the Hungarian state after several years of litigation. The paper is based on the documents of György Bakách-Bessenyey, Hungarian Minister to Bern, János Wettstein, Hungarian Minister to Bern before 1943 and Miklós Kállay, as well as on Hungarian and Swiss archival sources.
