A fejedelmek kollégiumának e két meghatározó rendje — úgy tűnik — félretette az eddig a birodalmi gyűléseken is jellemző rivalizálását, és egymással szoros összhangban dolgozott.105 THE QUESTION OF ANTI-OTTOMAN AID AT THE IMPERIAL ASSEMBLY OF REGENSBURG IN 1603 by Péter Zoltán Bagi (Summary) The decree proclaimed by the imperial assembly on 6 April 1598 represented a hardly-fought out compromise between the estates and the ruler in the matter of the anti-Ottoman aid. By the first year of the 17th century the schedule of the imperial aid of sixty Römermonate which had been voted at Regensburg in 1598 had expired, and the military events in Hungary and the rapid deterioration of its financial situation compelled the court to make a bid for a new supply of money. In the present study I aim to present the ways in which the imperial court tried at the imperial assembly at Regensburg in 1603 to obtain the financial aid needed for the equipment and maintenance of 5000 horsemen and 16000 infantry, altogether an aid for 160 months.
