Ugyanez mondható el az 1602 táján elhunyt Slómó Askenáziról, a Lengyelországból érkezett udvari orvosról is, aki Szokollu Mehmed és Velence barátjaként egy ideig fontos diplomáciai megbízásokat teljesített, és sok mindent el tudott intézni (pl. szerepe volt abban, hogy 1591-ben a zsidó származású Áront nevezték ki moldvai vajdának).
