203 from the medieval Hungary, too. There was no evidence of the vaulting of the gothic nave. We have found remains of three different pavements and three foundations of pulpits. Towards the end of the XVth century the choir is (re?)vaulted and a tabernacle is raised: on one of the keystones the Hungarian coat of arms, on the other one and on the tympanon of the tabernacle the coat of arms of the Zólyomis can be seen. The third conversion of the church is made short before 1710. The nave is widened 2 meters towards south, a new plainceiling is built and semicircular baroque windows are get on the faqades. The gothic ogival portals are replaced. The baroque tower of the western faqade is built between 1792-1796. Its medieval church-bell named after the Virgin Mary and the four evangelists is melted down in 1895. ..........mm fig. 3. S II
