566 Io an Horga district of the archpriest of Sebis. The majority of the population was of O confession (69%). The others were RC (15.76%), GC (12.43%) and HC (2.5%). This determined the mixed marriages of the GC to take place only with O partners. The mixed marriages do not represent a great weight (13%). A particular case is that of the parish of Galsa where reverberations of proselyte confrontations between 1832-183 535 seem not to have affected the mental equilibrium of the inhabitants by not setting them against each others. The ratio on sexes of preference for mixed marriages is: men (80%), women (20). All marriages took place inside the same community36. The District of the Archpriest of SOMESENI (Szamoskoziensis) The district of the archpriest of Someseni, situated at East of Satu-Mare, on the valley of Somes, had in its 11 parishes a population of GC confession in majority (65.35%). This determined an orientation towards the community in the marital options. Only in two parishes (Culciu Mare and Nisipeni) the important presence of RC population determined sometimes interconfessional orientations in marital options at Nisipeni. The District of the Archpriest of SUPURU DE JOS (Also-Szoporiensis) The district of the archpriest of Supuru de Jos had 10 parishes with a population of GC confession in majority (60%). In 5 of them, the GC overpassed 95%, so the mixed marriages are infrequent, as in the case of Hodita and Supuru de Jos37. The ratio on sexes ofpreference for mixed marriages: men (100%). The District of the Archpriest of VASAD (Vasadiensis) The district of the archpriest of Vasad had 8 parishes situated in the valley of Eriu, at the Romanian-Hungarian border. The information is from “Recensământul din 1900”, page 103. 37 The marriage from the parish of Hodisa takes place in the branch of Socond (DOSS 493/1907, f.94; 496/1910, f.73) with only 80 GC and 474 RC believers. At Supuru de Jos, there is registered one mixed marriage outside the community when a boy married a RC girl from Hurezu Mare (RC locality in majority). But even here the number of mixed marriages is very reduced, under 10% from the total number of marriages (DOSS 488/1900-1901, f.l 18).
