Until 1990, the touristic base has functioned as leisure summer location, from May to October, mostly for weekend, harnessing in one way (swimming), the thermal waters that fed the resort. Subsequently, the recreational space was expanded by the building of two pools, including one for children, with a cumulative volume of 1400m3 and a temperature of the water around 40°C. After 2005, the investments and the initiatives of making new locations was amplified and appeared the hotels, motels and a large number of guesthouses and private houses. The accommodation offer for young, tourists with smaller financial possibilities, but with modest comfort requirements, haswidened by setting upofthecampgroundswithcottagesor for tents. In 2014 the resort was equipped with multifunctional sports facilities, including a tennis court foot with artificial turf and a putting one football and sand volleyball. Annually, Tăşnad resort is visited by 250,000 tourists.
