In all the traditional occupational systems, the field husbandry, with its agrarian practices and techniques retains in the region of Tăşnad some elements representative V the families Crehul, Jedac, Petraş, Karpa. From Maramureş, Remeţi came the families Şofineţand Dubovici. In 1948, a large part of Ukrainians left the village and returned to Ukraine or Czechoslovakia, had been remained only the elderly or who had created alliances. After the second world war a few families from the neighbour county of Sălaj buy field in the village from the Ukrainians that left the village. In 1966 the locality had 61 families with 263 souls, of which 58 families were Orthodox. Then followed a period of sharp decline of the village, without electricity and easier access roads, having 64 inhabitants in 1992 and 25 souls of Orthodox confession in 2011 .Today remained in Ratiu only 15 inhabitants. The Orthodox Church the Saints Archangels Michael and Gabriel The Ukrainians settled in the village built in the top of the hill a beam church and then a few years later, a church made of adobe, down the hill in the center of the village. In addition to the church the priest Bilanici established a school where he taught children and adults, Romanian and Ukrainian language. On the place of the old church was built between 1950-1953 a brick church, butin 1954, after a lightning strike burn and the straw roof is completely destroyed. The church was rebuilt in 1958 and still exists today. ETNOGRAPHY The ethnographic region of Tăşnad entered as a part of the ethnographic area of Codru, with own ethnic and cultural elements, also standing outan interference with characteristics from Sălaj and Satu Mare area. In addition to the multitude of facts and common phenomena, along with their values of civilization and traditional culture, the area has a number of features with approach outlined in the form of some defining features. The Romanian traditional civilization, in its complex ways of manifestation: folk costumes, folklore, traditions, architecture, occupations was interwoven throughout the ages with the Hungarian and Swabian folk culture and civilization, with their specific characteristics and with mutual influence and this gives to these lands attributes of multi and interculturalism.
