Lobont Puscas Maria - Dobrescu Adela: Biserica de lemn din Soconzel (Satu Mare, 2010)
Datele cele mai exacte despre biserică le avem de pe un scaun de lemn care datează de la 1795 şi care poartă iniţialele K.L. Un alt scaun de lemn poartă data 1845 şi iniţialele P.L. La intrarea în biserică, pe partea stângă, se găseşte o inscripţie unde sunt pomeniţi „Popu Ioanu din Hazsnas Lapusiu 1874” şi „Papp Viktor 1879”. Ţinând seama de toate aceste date putem spune că biserica a fost ridicată în a doua jumătate a secolului al XVIII-lea. The most accurate information about this church is written on a wooden chair dating since 1795 containing the letters K. L. On another wooden chair is mentioned the year 1845 and the letters P.L. At the entrance of the church, on the left side, there is an inscription where is mentioned “Popu loan from Hazsnas Lapisiu 1874” and “Papp Viktor 1879”. Based on this infonnation, we may say that the church was built in the second part of the 18th century. Asemeni celorlalte biserici de lemn din zona Codru, biserica din Soconzel, este construită din bârne îmbinate orizontal, în cheutori drepte. Ea este tencuită doar pe interior şi pictată. Până în 1994 talpa bisericii se sprijinea pe pietre de râu, aşezate în colţurile bisericii. în urma restaurării survenite între 1994-1995 biserica a fost aşezată pe o nouă temelie, partea din sol a fost turnată din ciment iar partea de la suprafaţă a fost realizată din pietre cioplite. Tot atunci a fost schimbată şi talpa bisericii, care a fost realizată din stejar. The church from Soconzel is made of horizontally joined beams like the other wrooden churches from the Codru area. It is plastered and painted only in the inside. The foundation of the church is made of river stones, placed in the comers of the church until 1994. Another foundation was made after the restoration during the 1994-1995. The underground part of the foundation was made of cement and the upper part was made of carved stone. The base of the church was also changed with a new one made of oak wood.
