The project „Study of research and exploitation of the cross border cultural heritage” (Abstract) The cross border area of this project (comprising the Transcarpathia Region of Ukraine, Maramureş and Satu Mare Counties of Romania) is characterized by its common past, and therefore the common cultural heritage (material and immaterial). The multicultural environment is also specific to this region and has a great potential for a future long term development, based on cross border cooperation. The cooperation regarding the cultural heritage has been restricted for a long time by the nationalistic ideas and, as a consequence, has been overrun by the economic cooperation. The Actions of the project intend to reinforce the collaboration between cultural and educational institutions on both sides of the border, in order to create a sustainable relationship between specialists and communities of the cross-border area. The proposed activities are: • Identification of the cross border historical heritage in the Transcarpathian region, Beregovo city. Archive research - State Archive of Transcarpathian region. Elaboration of the book called “Greek-Catholic Church of Mukachevo. Documents”, voi. II. • Identification of the cross border historical and literary heritage in the Transcarpathian region, Ujgorod city. Library research - Library of the National University in Ujgorod. Developing a „Catalogue of the Manuscripts in the Library of the National University in Ujgorod” and DVD. • Exhibition with photos of the investigated documents and manuscripts: “ARCH OVER TIME” - SLAVONIC AND ROMANIAN MANUSCRIPTS KEPT IN THE LIBRARY OF THE UZHHOROD NATIONAL UNIVERSITY. • Workshop in Ukraine: “Written resources of the local history”. • Identification of the cross border immaterial heritage in the Transcarpathian region - legends and folklore. Research on field. Elaboration of a book and DVD-s including a collection of legends and folklore. • Workshop in Romania: ’’Means of conservations the cross border ethnographic heritage“.
