Industrial heritage in the urban areas of Satu Mare County (I). Tăşnad (Abstract) The paper presents a part of the results of the 2008 inventory campaign regarding the industrial heritage in north-western Romania, with the financial support of the National Cultural Found Administration (Administraţia Fondului Cultural National - AFCN). The project comprised a series of field research, in the purpose of identifying and photographing the industrial objectives throughout the County of Satu Mare, and collecting information about the identified objectives. Because of the large dimensions of the buildings and industrial equipment, but also their fragility in the context of the technological evolution, the photography represents the only way of saving them. A series of industrial objectives were identified till present in the entire county trough the method of field research. These objectives present a relative importance for establishing a precise evidence of this category of the cultural heritage. The paper presented a selection of the most important objectives in the area of Tăşnad: factories with their infrastructure, equipment, installations, mills, train stations, commercial halls, all representing significant testimonies of the technical and production activities that ensured the base for a socio-economical evolution in the area.
