Satu Mare - Studii şi Comunicări Seria Ştiinţele Naturii Voi. VII (2006) de 18 bp, In vitro alela D a fost asociată cu creşterea expresiei genice. Această alelă contribuie la susceptibilitatea de nefropatie diabetică (81). Interesant, această asociere a fost şi mai puternică atunci când a fost analizată împreună cu polimorfisme ale genei aldozoreductazei sugerând o interacţiune genă-genă. O asociere slabă a fost găsită între gena HSD11B2, diabetul zaharat tip 1 şi BRD(82). Bibliografie 1.
