The Vegetation from the Red Valley (Valea Rosie) (the town of Baia Mare)

(Summary)

The vegetation from the Red Valley Basin (near Baia Mare ) is presented in this study. 405 vegetal species have been inventoried in this area (belonging to 72 families and 248 types), out of which: 6 species of ferns, 2 species of gymnosperma, 397 species of angiosperma, representing more than 30% out of the carmophite flora of the Maramureş county. 10 vegetal associations have been identified within the basin, as follows: 1. Carpino-Fagetum, Paucă, 41; 2. Querco petraeae - Carpinetum, Borza, 41; 3. Castaneo-Quercetum I. Horwat 38 em Wraber, 54; 4. Alnetum glutinosae Meijer Dress, 36; 5. Rubo-Chamaenerietum Hadac, 69; 6. Epilobio-Juncetum effusi Oberd, 57; 7. Scirpetum silvatici Schwick, 44; 8. Telekio-Petasitetum albae Beldie, 67; 9. Sambucetum ebuli Kaiser, 26; 10. Tussilaginetum farfarae Oberd, 49.

The study presents the spectrum and the floristic composition to all these

species.
