The import of plates and dishes in Transylvania in the XVIIth century

(Summary)

In this work is analysed some references, collected from economic sources, related to the trade of vessels. There are also examined the purchases of the princiar household, using the account book of Bethlen Gábor and Bornemissza Anna. The results of this investigation help to give answers to question of origin of some types and motives, used in Transsylvania in the XVIIth century. The main commercial partners are Wien, Velence, Poland. Also we try to explain the reasons of theese expensive shoppings in abroad. We believe that the main reason is to align to the fashion of Europe, and with the hoc to exprime the social differences.
