In reality a greater number of species would deserve protection, however, we intended to provide sufficient information and justification and create a legal status for the most important ones. We do hope that following the initial steps a greater understanding of the importance of the macrofungi in the country's natural environment will lead to a greater level of protection. Hopefully, several other species may be gradually added in the future to the present list of macrofungi.
