Kováts, Dezső: Poaceae type specimens of Herbarium Carpato-Pannonicum in Budapest II. (Calamagrostis-Sesleria)
so among our HAYNALD Herbarium (KANITZ 1884) and PAX Herbarium there are many SCHUR materials, some of them have originated from their respective locus classicus (in the same months as those mentioned in the original description), so it seems to me that they are isotypes. SIMONKAI has sold his herbarium to the Botanical Department of National Museum (today Natural History Museum BP) in his life (DEGEN 1910) so his types are most probably here in Budapest. The other authors' (collectors' ) types - listed in this paper - can be found in Budapest (Index Herbariorum 1954, 1957), several of them had worked for the Natural History Museum (BP). In the list the genera of Poaceae follow the order of Herbarium, according to ENGLER's system and DALLA TORRE and HARMS' number (1900-1907), and within this the species appear in alphabetical order, or they are according to the taxonomical rank. The names are followed by the date of description, the kind of type, literature (Lit.) containing the first description of the plant, eventual synonyms (Syn.), the data of the label (or labels), the name of the collector (Leg.), and that of the identifier (Det.), eventual revision (Revid.), chromosome data (Cytol. data), the collecting locality of the type specimen (Locus classicus) based on either the label or on the literature, insofar as data referring to the habitat could be discovered. Herbarial labels of the sheets contain diverse information. In some cases only locality or habitat data, collection date and the name of the collector can be found, in other cases a concise morphological description of the species also appears. If the type specimen is deposited in the Herbarium Kitaibelianum, its serial fascicle numbers are given, if it is in the general collection, the number of DALLA TORRE and HARMS (1900-1907) and the inventory number are presented. Finally the number of specimens and culms present on the type sheet, the life form of the plant according to RANKIAER' s classification (SOÓ 1973) and the phenophases of the type (Phen.) according to SZUJKÓ-LACZA & FEKETE (1973) are given.
