Kováts, Dezső; Szujkóné Lacza, Júlia: Distribution and diversity of the Hungarian Spergularia species (Caryophyllaceae)
All the three species grown more frequently in salinity habitats (Map 1, 2 and 3) but the S. rubra has shown the more adaptability to the different habitats and altitudes among them (Map 2). Besides this it should be mentioned that for example in HNP the Spergu laria species are frequent and grow in extended patches in those places where there are the pastures of horses and in wheel tracks where in more cases, the A-layer, but not very rarely in B-horizon of the soil there is erosion. Moreover necessary to note, the top-root of the Spergularis species always are mykorrhized. Probably, these species can exist in the extremely hot, dry and salinity soils by the help of mycelium of fungus.
