action des grands programmes internationaux, et - chose assez importante - il faut préciser le côté financier de cette coopération internationale.

Peter Dusek: In the last two years we have reformed our organization (ICA audiovisual committee) to realise a better international cooperation in future because the main thing is to talk about concrete projects on the international level. We are doing on the media fields, we have organizations like MAP and BBC is going to coproduce with the ORF a MAP program about the history of Yugoslavia. We need the cooperation in between the media archives and the traditional archives, because we can’t do 24 evening series without the professional support of archivsts. Firstly we have to do research on the traditional sources, and after having finished this tour we should start research in the media archives.

In a second project the ORF tries to work up the heritage of the Jewish life before Holocaust, before the German Nazi occupation in middle Europe. We need then the international support from Israel to America, from Australia to Ukraine, from Poland to Vienna, but we need the cooperation between the levels - at least I hope, we are able to do this projects which can be started and executed only by international cooperation within the ICA and his audiovisual department.

Kurt Peball: Ich will ebenfalls ein Projekt erwähnen. Das Österreichische Staatsarchiv wird in den nächsten Jahren ein Seminar für Archivangehörige der ostmitteleuropäischen Länder anregen, die mit altösterreichischem Schriftgut zu tun haben. Ich denke in erster Linie an jüngere Archivare mit Deutschkenntnissen, die hier an Ort und Stelle - learning by doing - mit Archivalien Schriftenkunde und Aktenkunde üben sollen. Es ist jährlich ein drei- bis sechswöchiges Seminar geplant, und zwar in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut für österreichische Geschichtsforschung an der Universität Wien, den Archivaren des Österreichischen Staatsarchivs und Archivaren aus den „Nachfolgestaaten“, also aus Polen, aus Tschechien, der Slowakei, Ungarn, Italien, Slowenien und Kroatien.
