Psalter to be used exclusively in service. There was as well no serious debate concerning unified liturgy, so local tradition survived freely. The text of the Vizsoly Bible by and by emerged as a standard during the late 17th century. However, this fact scarcely had determined the selection of the Psalter’s text. Thus translations of different sources lived side by side for several decades in daily service even after the subsequent editions of the Vizsoly Bible, namely in 1608, 1612, and 1645.
