nek a himnusznak a felemelés és részessé tétel, a vele vacsorátok, öpedig énvelem (3,20) élő és teljes — mai szóval — interaktív közösségéé.

E hét krisztusi üzenet végkicsengése számomra az, hogy az ecclesia triumphans ígéretének és valóságának sokkal nagyobb hangsúllyal kellene bírnia a mai egyházkép kialakításában. És itt egyáltalán nem az egyház „triumfálásáról”, dicsőségéről van szó. Krisztus dicsőségének és hatalmának kell jobban érvényre jutnia az egyházi berendezkedésben, közgondolkodásban, a szolgálat elvi és gyakorlati vonatkozásaiban.

Ha az egyház Krisztus ígéretét komolyabban veszi, ha tagjai bátrabban fordítják arcukat a mennyei cél felé, akkor könnyebb megszabadulni a kicsinyességektől és bizonytalanságoktól. Ha a menny látása és bizonyossága erősödik közöttünk, szabadabbak leszünk evilági szolgálatunk hitelesebb és szakszerűbb — azaz küldetésünkhöz hűbb — betöltésére is.

ASBTRACT

The Idea of the Church in Revelations 2 and 3

Tliis study examines the characteristics of the idea of the church as presented in the Book of Revelations, chapters 2 and 3. From the declarations of the glorified Christ it is understood that the church lives under His rule. The churches live active lives and are involved in various forms of the ministry, despite the fact that they must persist in the midst of oppressions and persecutions. The most important service is perseverance and faithfulness to the Lord of the church. The church that is connected with Christ has hope because the Lord shares with her not only His suffering, but His glory as well.

We see an arch being drawn before our eyes: the church submitted under the rule of Clirist becomes, in the fellowsEdp of the glorified Lord, the ruling church. This heavenly vision should have more influence on our idea of the church even today.
