May 2, 1933-and on several later occasions, he gave lectures at the Budapest Atelier Art School under the title “Advertising and Typography”. 1933 - published a significant historical essay in “Magyar Grafikai Almanach” (Yearbook of Hungarian Graphic Art) under the title “A tipográfiai stílus elemei” (Elements of typographic style). 1934 - the same article appeared also in German under the title “Die Elemente des typographischen Stils” in the book published for the 60th birthday of the eminent Leipzig printer C. E. Poeschel (“Carl Ernst Poeschel zum sechzigsten Geburtstage am 2. September 1934”). 1934 - wrote and published his handbook on aids of communal management, which, until 1943, was published on four further occasions. 1934 - in cooperation with the Szegedi Fiatalok Művészeti Kollégiuma (The College of Art of Szeged) the Gyoma printing house issued a book with György’ Buday’s woodcuts, later, in 1935, “Nyíri és rétközi parasztmesék” (Folk tales from the Nyírség and Rétköz regions) by Gy. Ortutay and Gy. Buday. Imre Kner got into close friendship with the Szeged youth and gave several lectures on their invitation at Szeged. August 19, 1935 - Izidor Kner, the founder of the printing house died. F rom that time on the enterprise was run as a Jointventure of the two brothers, under the name Kner Izidor könyvnyomdája - Kner Imre, Kner Endre (Izidor Kner Printing House - Imre Kner, Endre Kner). September 18, 1936 - quotation from a form issued by a Prague institution filled in by Imre Kner: “Decorations: None. The title of honorary member of the Verein »Deutsche Buchkünstler« must have been withdrawn by that time. ” 202
