Chapter IX. Reprographic probléma of patent information: byway of introduction it briefly surveys the old-type reprographic processes, as wll as the inadequately spread half-dry processes /photographic processes, two-bath, diffusion, and VERXFAX-prooesses/. This is followed by the survey of the now most widespread dry processes /thermic, diazo, xerox, electrostatic processes/. Then it gives an account of reprographic devices of various types and performances, based on several v-inHn of dry processes. Finally, it surveys the microfilm devices and the necessary auxiliary devices, from the essentials of microfilming to the programmed microfilm copying automatic machine.

Chapter X. Application of the results of patent information, examines the eoonomio and legal aspects of the utilization of «hat have been discussed in the work. Following the three—aspeot principle of chronological order, and projecting the categories of the present /exploration of the patent situation/, the future /exploration of perspectives/, and the past /utilization of the legally "free" patent technical literature/ to patent information, it points to the new vistas patent information opens up for the industrial companies. Finally it emphasizes that patent information like other forms of technical Information, should serve the objectives of technological development, and should promote the diffusion and use of the results of the scientifio and technical revolution.
