Picture IIм- The golden seal of Bereg county, 1836 During the years of World War II, the seal was stored by the new official, replacing the vice-prefect. The new official was called notary-in-chief. In 1940-44, the notary-in-chief was Dr. Dezső Horváth, who lived at Hete. In his study written about the jobszty family he mentioned that he himself saved the gold seal with ivory hand grip in 1944. In order to store it in a safe place, he, as notary-in-chief of the county, placed the seal in the National Museum. Horváth thus fulfilled the instruction engraved into the side of the lavishly ornamented copper box of the seal: ’Let it be protected by clean hands at all times!1" Guarding place in the Historical Repository of Hungarian National Museum.
