These are the names of the men who were in the previous Holy Association of the local, Halász holy congregation (may the Almighty preserve it and save it), and we have written their names here as a memorial to later generations. 1. R(eb) Moshe Aharon, son of our brother R(eb) Yaakov Tzvi, may his memory be blessed. Passed away on the 29th of Shevat, in the year (5)685 (= approx. January 1885), may his soul be joined with the bonds of the living. 4. (4.) R(eb) Yisrael, son of our brother R(eb) Gad Lichtmann, may his memory be blessed. 6. (5.) Passed away on 25th Nisan, 5644, according to the minor chronology (spring 1884), may his soul be joined with the bonds of the living. 18. (10.) R(eb) Moshe, son of our brother R(eb) Natan Fischer, may his memory be blessed. Passed away on the Holy Sabbath day, 5th Sivan, 5640, according to the minor chronology (= spring 1880), may his soul be joined with the bonds of the living. 20. R(abbi) Naftali Tzvi the chief rabbi, son of our brother R(eb) Yaakov Yoshiah, may his memory be blessed. Passed away on the 1st day of the new moon of Tamuz, in the year 686 according to the minor chronology (= summer 1886), may his soul be joined with the bonds of the living. 29. (16.)
