Tanulmányok távoli és közeli tájak múltjából - Papp Klára: Egy családi levelezés a Csákyak erdélyi és partiumi szőlőbirtokairól

Kozma Ferenc levelének részlete Csáky Kata lányához, Bethlen Rozáliához (1795. november 26., Alsóbajom) KLÁRA PAPP: A Correspondence on the Csáky Family's Vineyards in Transylvania and Partium The Transylvanian Csáky family seized lands in important wine-districts or acquired pledged lands in the first half of the 18th century. István Csáky, Lord Lieutenant of Kolozs County grew wine in Érmeilék of Bihar, on his estate, Serling as well as on the outskirts of Buza, which was part of the family's property. His sons, Zsigmond and Imre carried on this activity. One of his grandchildren, Borbála Csáky (Mrs. György Haller) took on the pledge of the estate in Bihar and she also started to extend her vine-lands. A younger grandchild of István Csáky's, Kata Csáky (Mrs. Miklós Bethlen) extended mainly the lands in Transylvania and she had some vineyards bought in Szilágysomlyó. Similarly to her husband, she possessed vineyards in the wine-district of Küküllő and she even obtained the pledge of Kohány's vineyards in Érmellék. The family's correspondence clearly proves that Counts Csáky of Transylvania were interested not only in seizing vineyards and making profit from selling wine but they also payed a lot of attention to the cultivation of these lands.
