Tax and customs collection, control over crown domain and mines, and food supply for the military were under its supervision, as well. The senior councillor was at the head of the bureau. Márton Vas of Sziget acted in this position: due to his local knowledge, experiences in the county and his relatives, he was appointed to this important office.
